Classical Sun Salutations are often used in Hatha yoga and have a more traditional, meditative approach. Sun Salutation A and B are integral to Vinyasa practices and are used as a warm-up for more intense sequences.

Classical Sun Salutations, often referred to as Surya Namaskar, typically consist of 12 poses performed in a sequence that is repeated several times. The exact sequence can vary slightly depending on the tradition.
