Hello Moonbeams,

August 15th is full moon time again! The August moon is known as the ‘‘Sturgeon Moon” because native tribes knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this full moon.

Other names this moon is known by are: “green corn moon,” “full red moon,” and “hungry ghosts moon." This full moon will draw you to water. There is something profoundly healing about water, about the sea…there is something magickal about being in the water under a full moon. Take that moonlight swim and don’t forget to make your moon water!

Expanding Consciousness in the Aquarian Age
In numerology, August holds the powerful vibration of the number 8, which

represents the infinite journey of the soul and the balance between the seen and

unseen. In other words, this is the perfect time to explore the emotional depth and connect the physical body with the ethereal and spiritual realm. Aquarius is about expanding your consciousness as far out as it can go.

Aquarian vibes are just what we need to bring clarity into our lives, forging a path

to living and speaking our truth. What are you holding on to, and how is that

holding you back? This laid-back moon wants to free you from old values and

belief systems. This is very Aquarian indeed, as they are the seekers, the non-

conformists, the ones who get away with stuff because they are so easy to live

with. Face it, moonbeams, it’s their AGE: we just live in it!

Astrologers have determined that every two thousand years, time moves us

backward through the astrological signs, into a new age. A new age calls for its

own words to live by.

Five Sutras of the Aquarian Age
Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga and spiritual teacher to thousands, shared five principles which he called the Five Sutras of the Aquarian Age. They are as simple and straightforward as they are deep and transcendent:

1. Recognize that the other person is you.

2. There is a way through every block.

3. When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.

4. Understand through compassion or you'll misunderstand the times.

5. Vibrate the Cosmos. The Cosmos shall clear the path.

Since moon time is special, we’ve designed a little body-love yoga ritual designed

to promote relaxation and ease. Breathe 10 breaths in each pose.
