LEMURIA WAS NOT MATRIARCHAL, IT WAS WOMB-SOVEREIGN

Last week on a Zoom, I found myself saying, “Lemuria was matriarchal,” and as the words came out of my mouth, I immediately noticed they didn’t fully resonate. I could feel that there was truth within what I was saying, but matriarchal was too small, too rooted in our current understanding of gender, hierarchy, and power to describe what I was actually remembering.

What has continued to come through is that Lemuria was not matriarchal in the 3D sense of women ruling, leading, or holding authority over men. It was womb-sovereign, a living energetic lattice whose primary harmonic was the womb-geometry of Source, the receptive field from which creation emerges before polarity separates itself into masculine and feminine.

Within that consciousness, the feminine principle was not simply female. It was an architecture, the capacity to receive, hold, gestate, preserve, and radiate frequency without distortion. Beings could carry this architecture regardless of physical form because the Mother was not understood as a gender but as an originating principle of creation woven through the entire field.

Yet as consciousness descended further into density, the female vessel increasingly became one of the most stable carriers of this unbroken Mother-frequency, while aspects of the masculine current moved more deeply into outward projection, form, technology, expansion, and eventually conquest. Perhaps this is part of why our remembrance of Lemuria can feel so profoundly feminine, even though calling it matriarchal still does not quite reach what was there.

We reach for that word because we can feel the Mother everywhere in Lemuria, but perhaps what we are remembering is something much older than matriarchy. It is the womb as an organizing principle of consciousness itself, the feminine and masculine existing within the same living field before power became hierarchy and polarity became separation.

When I felt that lack of resonance in my own words last week, I realized I was being invited to remember it more precisely. Lemuria was not ruled by the Mother. Lemuria remembered how to live inside the Mother.
