Example Teaching Methodology Topics

The Five Categories of Asana: The trainee will practice and learn the key poses in each category of asana (standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions) and will begin to develop a relationship to both the form and the function of these different categories.

Maps of Alignment: Trainees will achieve comprehension of the alignment maps for each of the five categories of asanas through observation and experience of how the poses in each category share a common foundation, and how to build upon this foundation.

Principles of Demonstrating Asanas: Discuss how effective demonstrations in class can help emphasize an alignment or other focus for the specific pose or sequence of poses.

Learning Modalities: identifying your dominant style, and learning how to teach based on others’ learning styles.

Use of Language and Voice: Lecture and discussion on active vs. passive language and the effective use of each; positive and conscious communication, and habitual speech and communication patterns.

Most of our students experience a transformation of body mind and spirit as our Florida Keys Yoga Teacher Trainings offer much more than simply what is certified to teach. This is an opportunity for you to learn to teach yoga while also shifting your life through ritual, ceremony, crystals, essential oils, meditation journies, ayurvedic herbs and more. Go beyond the unconscious limitations that are set upon us throughout our lives and free yourself to walk a path of truly elevated consciousness. Throughout our training, which actively raises intuition and works to integrate the understanding that we have infinite potential, students often experience healings, release of past traumas, and a cleansing and clearing of the soul.

Join our amazing team of teachers and healers for adventure, healing, and connection as you complete your 500 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Training Immersion in the beautiful, sparkling mystical waters of the Florida Keys! Go beyond your idea of what Yoga is and enter into an Immersion Program that will shift you, lift you, and guide you to become the person you have always known you could be. This Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification course is for anyone wanting to learn how to teach yoga in a confident, knowledgeable, and empowered way, as well as for students who would like to simply deepen their Yoga practice with hands-on training in adjustments, alignment, philosophy, and history. This is an in-depth course that goes above and beyond what is required to be certified to teach, and is created for all those who are interested in changing their lives and in delving deeper into truth, health, and healing. This course is a training that fuses mind, body, soul.

We teach in the traditional yogic methodology, which views Yoga as a lifestyle, a science, and an art. We combine a detailed and in-depth study of modern asanas (postures) with rich and colorful history and philosophy, as well as the lifestyle of Yoga that offers balance and peace for life “off the mat.” There is ample opportunity to deepen your understanding of Prana (life-force energy), healing, spirituality, and mysticism woven into the course with anatomy, sequence and breath, all in a space that offers the multi-faceted teachings of Yoga while honoring and respecting all religious backgrounds and beliefs.

Learn how to live fully and artfully in every moment, heal your life and others lives, let go of attachments and false beliefs, and rise up into your fullest self. True yoga (meaning “union”) teaches us to expand our consciousness and live in a higher vibrational life of beauty, presence, grace, and bliss. With opportunity for extra study in Energy Healing and how to apply it directly to the work and life of a Yoga Teacher. This is truly an opportunity to shake off what you are ready to leave behind in order to transform into the Empowered You.

Upon completion of the course, students will receive certification and a 300hr Yoga Alliance certificate through Full Circle Yoga School a Registered Yoga School (RYS).

Space is limited and we do close the trainings once they are booked. We accept up to 20 students depending on location and lodging. This creates a dynamic cohesive group where everyone has the opportunity to shine and have their individual training goals met. To hold your spot for training, please make a non-refundable

We look forward to sharing this beautiful soul rocking journey with you. Namaste!
