Most of our students experience a transformation of body mind and spirit as our Peru Yoga Teacher Trainings offer much more than simply what is certified to teach. This is an opportunity for you to learn to teach yoga while also shifting your life through ritual, ceremony, crystals, essential oils, meditation journies, ayurvedic herbs and more. Go beyond the unconscious limitations that are set upon us throughout our lives and free yourself to walk a path of truly elevated consciousness. Throughout our training, which actively raises intuition and works to integrate the understanding that we have infinite potential, students often experience healings, release of past traumas, and a cleansing and clearing of the soul.

This course is open to anyone interested in using yoga as a tool to uncover deep truth, well-being, and healing. Our 200 hour yoga teacher training is a transformative, in-depth experience that exceeds certification requirements by fusing mind, body, and soul.

​Teaching in the traditional yogic methodology, we view yoga as a lifestyle, a science, and an art. Our course combines modern yoga practices with the colorful histories, traditions, and philosophies of the past.

These elements are woven into practical and scientific courses on anatomy, sequencing, and breath — all in an inclusive and accepting atmosphere.

Abstaining from alcohol and coffee, detoxing from digital devices, and eating a whole, vegetarian diet are just a few yogic practices we encourage students to follow during training. Upon completion of the course, students will receive certification and a 200hr Yoga Alliance certificate through Full Circle Yoga School, a Registered Yoga School (RYS).

Peru dates are August 15-31. Arrival is August 16th, Departure is September 1. 

* Homework is nightly consisting short writing assignments that compliment your studies, readings, and working on class sequencing based on that day's asana learning. We send you these short exercises as soon as you enroll so you can complete prior to training if you wish.

Yoga Mandala Retreat Centre is located in Huandar Chico-Arin, behind Calca in the Sacred Valley. It is 20 minutes from Urubamba, 20 minutes from Pisac, and an hour from Cusco by taxi or Collectivo Bus. 

It is best to fly into Cusco Airport. A few airlines like Avianca offer direct international flights into Cusco. Otherwise it is easy to fly to Lima and change to a domestic flight to Cusco. There are many leaving daily between Lima's international airport and Cusco for relatively inexpensive if booked in advance. 

From the airport to Yoga Mandala we can arrange a car service or you can take a local bus if feeling more adventurous. Uber is also an exceptionally easy way to get around Peru, and is much cheaper than the taxis waiting outside the airport. 

Please remember that Cusco is located at very high altitude (3,400m/11,150ft). It is likely you will experience altitude sickness for the first day or so. Coca tea is the local remedy for this and works like a charm! If you are sensitive to altitude, perhaps plan to arrive a couple of days before the retreat begins to acclimate yourself so you do not feel sick during the retreat.

Meal Plan

The Full Circle Yoga School meal plan is lovingly prepared by Yoga Mandala and is a wholesome menu that delights and inspires. Our plant-based meals are aligned with ayurvedic seasonal recommendations and designed to detoxify and energize the body. Week one focuses on chakra balancing foods; week two continues to nourish for complete balance and vitality.

The meal plan starts day one of training and includes breakfast on the morning of graduation day.

Preparing For Your Yoga Teacher Training

Your yoga teacher training is a transformative experience — it’s important to be prepared!


Required textbooks:

  •  Teaching Yoga: Essential Foundations and Techniques by Mark Stephens

  • Yoga Toolbox for Teachers and Students, 3rd Edition​ 

  • Nightly homework consists of reading and writing assignments, which we will send to you after enrollment. We highly recommend completing all homework prior to training, as you will also be tasked with class sequencing homework each day. Additional textbooks may be required; your facilitator will clarify.
