In so many aspects the breath is exactly what we need to live this life purely and freely. Allowing the breath to guide each movement and becoming fluid in the practice of asana becomes a magical exploration of presence and beauty.
As a teacher Kati brings balance through breath, teaching her students the four pillars of yoga; strength, mobility, flexibility and stability as fundamental building blocks for dynamic movement for each individual. Yoga is an internal science that brings unity of the mind, body, breath and integrity to the soul.
Kati was born and raised in Texas and was a competitive athlete from a very young age. She moved to Colorado as a teenager which progressed her adventurous nature, she began exploration of the life at hand and the wild and magnificent lands around her. Yoga came into her life about 10 years ago to balance the constant movement between, traveling, surfing, skiing, climbing, backpacking and hiking through mountains, white water rafting, and all the endless adventures. After several years of falling in love with the asana practice she then opened a yoga studio with her mother and began the next venture into creating yoga retreats with a travel yoga organization. She grew more intune to her truest self and her desire to travel and explore the wild world we live in. During the first years of her 30's a life changing opportunity was placed into her life as a photographer apprentice, which ultimately took her on a memorable adventure through Central and South America. When she returned to Breckenridge she was ready for a bigger change to life and decided to move away from her beloved mountain town. Life then came to a screaming halt due to a debilitating car accident, a list of injuries, and multiple westernized doctors without answers or help in alleviating pain.
Kati returned to her practice as a complete beginner and began one step at a time building strength and alignment with a dedication that helped overcome emotional, physical and mental blocks that were once felt scarred within. Through meditation and yoga, she was finally able to heal her body. Growing through this experience Kati has cultivated a true passion for raising our internal vibration with awareness and mindfulness.
